Story County Master Gardeners have launched a new website! The forum is an online meeting place for gardeners to talk about what we like best: gardening! This is a new site, intended for all gardeners, but especially those in Zones 4-5 wherever they may be (the Web has made everything International). The more users, the more interesting the forum will be. We need to spread the word, so check into it, register, and look around. Tell your friends about it, too!

Below are two links provided by Dr. Joe Morris, our speaker at the November 2001 meeting. The first is a link to a pdf file featuring the slides that Dr. Morris used during his presentation. This is a large file so it may take a bit to view. The second link is to the article he passed out at the meeting about Barley Straw for Algae Control. The second article he distributed at the meeting, Managing Iowa Fisheries, is an Iowa State University Extension publication (Pm-1352a). It is available through the extension.
