Our meeting for this month is our Annual Hog Roast. Carol Scheid and family have volunteered to host it at her place. They are not only great ponderers but also have a LOT of experience barbequing hogs. When I asked what she needed from the Association, she said that she has done this so many times that it is second nature to them. I can only imagine how good that barbequed hog is going to taste. Of course, we have a complete meal with a salad, buns, vegetable and drink. The only thing that you need to bring is yourself and plan on having a good time. We will start cutting up the hog at 6:30 on Monday, June 13. This is free to our members, their guests and potential members.

You may remember our Hog Roast last year out at Skycrest Gardens. Jim Jordan, Gary Craven and company roasted that pig and was it goooood!! It was such a hit that we decided to do it again.

As you already know, Carol is our Membership Secretary and she has really done a great job with that responsibility. She is really kept busy doing that but they also have a great pond to see. Their pond is on our tour this year so you can get a sneak peak at it before the public sees it.

It is going to be evening of relaxation with food and drink around a water garden. It doesn't get any better than that!! Carol and Steve live at 68065 180th St., Nevada. Directions on our home page.

The 10th Annual Central Iowa Tour of Water Gardens has taken a life of it's own in the last month. We have an energetic committee working on it and talk about being organized - they wrote the book on organization. Tickets will be available the night of our meeting - so if you have outlets to sell them at - you can get them then. Remember this is our big and only fund raiser for the year. So please help out by selling tickets to friends and relatives. You can also help by volunteering to help out at a garden the days of the tour. Please get in touch with Carol Scheid or myself to volunteer.

The tour is Sat. July 16 and Sun July 17. More info elsewhere in this newsletter.

Hope to see everybody at the meeting.
