Capital City Chapter

The Capitol City Chapter had a wonderful turnout for our Tuesday night meeting, thanks to everyone for the warm welcome we gave to Andy Doll from Tetra Pond products. Thanks to Jim and Sue Kline for inviting him, arranging his visit and escorting him here, and the treats. He displayed many exciting new products, handed out brochures, shared his vast knowledge and answered our many questions. He left some extra handouts that we will have available at the next meeting. He mentioned they have a web site and you can sign up for their newsletter, which has valuable tips for the pond enthusiast, www.tetra-fish.com. Thank you to Andy Doll and John Selin for donating several items as door prizes, most everyone went home with a little something. There was certainly excitement in the air!

Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 22, 7 PM at the ISU extension office at 5201 N.E. 14th, two blocks North of Interstate 35/80 in Des Moines. Our speaker will be Rob Pritchard from Liquid Landscapes. He will share his knowledge about waterfalls and answer any questions we may have.

Top of Iowa

The Top of Iowa Water Garden Association will meet Monday, February 21 at 7:00 p.m. at the I.S.U. Extension Office in Mason City. The address is 2023 N. Federal Ave. (across from McDonald's). Weston Wunder from Liquid Landscape Designs will be the speaker. The program will be Construction of Pondless Waterfalls. A pondless waterfall is the only water feature that is safe for children, yet you can enjoy the great sounds of water in your backyard.

This should be a very interesting program so come and find out about constructing a pondless waterfall. See you there.
