Capital City Chapter

We will not hold meetings in November or December due to the conflict with the holidays. We will start again in January with a full slate of programs through April.

Special thanks to those who stepped up and made October’s meeting meaningful to the many attendees in Doug's sudden absence. There was a great turn-out - about 30 some people, many new ones. Rumor has it that they had a good impromptu discussion about winterizing your pond by some of the "seasoned" members who were there.

Top of Iowa

The Top of Iowa Water Garden Association will not be meeting during November and December. The meeting place and agenda for the January meeting will be announced in the January newsletter.

At our October meeting President, Ed Schroeder presented Central Gardens of North Iowa with a check for $1,000.00. This was part of the proceeds from our 1st Annual Water Garden Tour in July. The money is to be used for a designated water feature. Barb Nicholas, Vice President of Central Gardens and Lisa Balduf, fundraising chairman for Central Gardens updated us on the progress of Central Gardens and showed us what is in the plans for 2005 and beyond.
