Plants, Ponds, Paradise 2011 16th Annual Water Garden Tour Saturday, July 16, 2011 A special thank you goes out to all who made the 16th Annual Water Garden Tour such a success. Thank you to all the volunteers who sat at the gardens to greet, sell tickets, answer questions, and provide directions. With temperatures 90 degrees plus that was not an easy task. Thank you to the companies who provided displays at a few of our gardens. A thank you also goes out to our sponsors and advertisers for their support. But most of all a special thank you to all our pond and garden owners. With out them we would not have a tour. And finally, thank you to all who ignored the temperature and took the time to enjoy the ponds and gardens. Congratulations to Ruth T. of Des Moines, the winner of the Christopher's Restaurant gift certificate. We hope we see you all for next year's tour, so save the date--July 21, 2012! I would like to address this email to all who were involved in the organization, the home owners who graciously opened their gardens to the public, and to all those who helped with the 16th Annual Water Garden Tour. My wife and I just returned from doing the tour this morning, and may I say it was one of the most exciting tours we have done in recent years. We were asked to judge which of the gardens we liked the best, and we did not respond. Each of the gardens in their own way was most interesting. I am certain were there criteria for judging there would have been a first, second, etc. there would have been a winner, but in our eyes all the gardens were winners, and provided us with some very beautiful presentations of floral, and water effects. Having said this, Thank You one and all for a very memorable experience. We would also like to thank you for the wonderful signage used in directing us from one location to another. It was very well done, and made our day so much more enjoyable not getting lost. Signed: B.F.P.
